Ohms(Ω) is a measure of electrical resistance, and understanding ohms can be very beneficial for you as a vaper. When you are shopping for a new coil or replacement atomizer, you typically see this word "ohm", or symbol "Ω". But what does it mean in terms of your vaping experience? Ohms help vapers with understanding what wattage or voltage their replacement atomizers/coils can handle. A general rule of thumb would be the lower the ohm, the higher the wattage/voltage and vice versa.
A lower ohms resistance would be between 0.1Ω to 0.9Ω. It is typically seen in coils used for sub-ohming tanks, due to the higher wattages needed to increase vapor and flavor production.
A standard resistance is typically around 1.0Ω to 1.8Ω. This range is the most typical or widely known resistance range and provides a great blend of vapor production and flavor.
Lastly, a higher resistance coil would be around 2.0Ω and higher. This resistance range is usually found in cartomizers and is well known for providing flavor with very little vapor production.
